Good News? Nigeria Records Her Lowest Daily Figure of Covid-19 in Three Months

For the first time in three months, Nigeria records her lowest daily figure of covid-19 as the daily figures continue to decline.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) claimed to have recorded 221 in 20 states across the country, which is the lowest record since the month of May.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, the new cases were recorded in the following states: Kano (1), Osun (2), Bauchi (2), Oyo (2), Edo (2), Ogun (2), Imo (3), Delta (4), Abia (4), Anambra (5), Gombe (5), Nasarawa (6), Ondo (9), Enugu (9), Kwara (9), Lagos (17), Rivers (18), Kaduna (26), FCT (33), Plateau (60).

Again, Plateau has the highest recorded cases followed by Kaduna and the FCT. The latest figure shoots the total number of confirmed cases in the country above 53,000.

Nigeria has tested about 388,000 people out of her 200 million population since the inception of covid-19 in the country which dates back to the 28th of February, 2020 when an Italian man who runs his business arrived back to the country to oversee his business.

Three victims were also reported dead on Thursday, bringing the total figure of deaths to 1010.

However, the good news is that 40,281 persons out of the total figure which is 53,021 have recovered so far. These ones have been discharged to reunite again with their families and friends. Meanwhile, there are still 11,730 active cases.

The main issue Nigeria is facing now is disobedience and ignorance. Many do not believe that the virus is real while some who believe have not been taking responsibility as to using their face masks and disassociating themselves from crowds.

If only the ignorant would stop being ignorant and the disobedient would stop being disobedient, then Nigeria at this time would have recorded more success than she has recorded.
