61 days into the Rwanda genocide Remembrance, What has changed?

Genocide in simple terms has to do with the systematic and methodical killing of people on the basis of ethnicity, religion, political opinion, social status, personal interest and so on.

Every life is important, useful and precious in the sight of the Almighty God. God created mankind to solve both simple and complex problems depending on the capacity of every individual. It is as a result of this that the subject of purpose, discovery and fulfillment of destiny come into play.

Unfortunately, countless number of people never lived to discover the purpose of their existence talk less of fulfilling destiny because their lives were cut short unexpectedly. We live in a world where slaughtering of human being has become a way of life and there seems to be no remedy.
It is important for us to understand that every being created by God has an assignment to accomplish. It is in the accomplishment of the assignment that he can boldly say he has truly lived. Going forward and looking at the incidence that happened in Rwanda several years back, we will realize that so many destinies were drowned in the sea as a result of incessant killing.

However, for every action, there is always an equal and opposite reaction and at the same time, behind every cause lies an effect, it could be good or bad, demonic or godly depending on the circumstances surrounding it. Narrowing it down to the occurrence that happened in Rwanda, it is a clear fact that the cause was not farfetched. It was simply lack of love.
Where there is no love; peace, joy, harmony and other essential fruits will obviously be absent. It is love that promotes and sustains peace and unity in any given nation. A lack of it sprouts hatred, envy, jealousy, maliciousness and a host of others in the heart of men. It is this same lack of love that births the violence that escalated in Rwanda. It is called genocide.

Genocide in simple terms has to do with the systematic and methodical killing of people on the basis of ethnicity, religion, political opinion, social status, personal interest and so on. It was the same genocide that indiscriminately made innocent souls to lose their lives in cold blood. It was so excruciating that the whole people of Rwanda almost went into extinction.
To this end, there is a need for them to come to the understanding of respecting each other’s faith, creed, opinion and differences so as not to live apart and to become indissoluble. In this masterpiece, you will learn the implication of violence otherwise known as war, and possible solutions on how it can be averted.

Conclusively, we can only build a lasting bond among ourselves regardless of race, tribe, religion and ethnicity when we see ourselves as one unified entity. Unity must continually be our watchword because it is in the course of it that we can curb all manner of vices that has eaten deep into the fabrics of our system. It is through unity that human life can be respected and protected thus; love and harmony become our second nature.
