12 Ways to Become a Better you
How are you todayyyyy?
I feel elated today because it’s a beautiful day filled with opportunities and treasures.
I always look forward to a new day.
Don’t let a day pass by without you maximizing the awesomeness embedded in it.
So today, I’d like to share with you a very crucial and important topic.
Everyone wants to grow. Nobody likes stunted growth, especially physical growth.
Assuming a lady who is 25 years still has the shape or stature If a 5 years old girl, there must be something really, really wrong with her. And this would be looked into, medically. Probably, Spiritually too.
In life, it is expedient that we grow in all facets of our lives.
When you grow, you become Productive. That is, You are able to do more for yourself and for others around you.
To Grow means to make advancement, to increase, expands, and improve at something. Productive means achieving more, giving more, and doing more.
Growth and Productiveness are twin sisters.
When you grow, you become productive.
You can’t compare the things you accomplished and the levels you have attained in the past few months or years to the things you accomplished when you were a teenager or still very young. (A teenager might be reading this).
What happened was growth.
To grow also means to become better at what you do and who you are.
I’ll be limiting my post today to the latter.
**Growing to become a better person or a better version of yourself in order to be productive.**
To become productive in your space, you’ve got to keep growing.
To reach your full potentials, you’ve got to keep growing to become a better you.
Before you can influence your world and imparts others, you’ve got to work on yourself.
Here are 12 ways on How you can be a Better You.
How you treat yourself is how you will treat others. You must come to terms with your identity. Accept you as You.
Accept your weaknesses, your flaws, your strengths, your pasts, your experiences, Your Shapes, and your personality. Because all these makes you, You. And makes you unique.
For your growth to be effective, accept yourself.
BELIEVE IN YOURSELF:
You are your number one fan. If you don’t believe in yourself, don’t expect others to believe in you.
Believe you can do it. Believe you can make it. Believe in your abilities. Believe in yourself.
CULTIVATE GOOD HABITS:
To become a better You (to Grow), You need to work on some habits that are detrimental to your Dreams. Some habits include; Procrastination, Envy, Jealousy, Laziness. Start cultivating good habits.
Procrastination won’t make you grow and become productive.
You have the freedom to dream, So dream Big. Your dreams are yours, don’t limit yourself.
Let your mind fly, give it the opportunity to explore.
Dream Big. Dream Big. Dream big.
EAT WELL and EAT BETTER;
You need to eat good food and eat well too.
Your body, your mind, and your brain need it. Eat well, because malnutrition is dangerous to your growth (all-round growth).
FOCUS ON YOUR DREAMS:
Have a laser-like focus. Be unmovable, unyielding, Uncompromising. I’m sure the men can relate to this; when you are watching football, Probably, a match between Chelsea and Arsenal. You wouldn’t want to miss any part of the game. You are so engrossed in it. That’s the focus. When you are focused, you are able to realize areas to make adjustments.
GIVE TO OTHERS:
Learn to give to others. Give your loved ones your time, resources, and money.
Spend quality time with others. Surprise them with gifts. Trust me, handwritten letters still work magic. When you give to others, you are unconsciously becoming a better person.
HANG OUT WITH THE RIGHT COMPANY:
A good company can transform your life. A good company will inspire you to do more. Be in the company of those that will add flames to your fire.
Avoid friends that drain your emotional and physical energy.
INVEST IN YOURSELF:
I love this part. Since the lockdown started, how many books have you read?
How many online lectures have you attended?
Invest in yourself. Invest in your Dreams and Purposes. That’s the only way to grow and become productive.
KNOW YOUR LIMITS:
Yes, know your limits. Know when to take a break. Know when you are at your breaking points. Know when to call it quits. Know what stresses you. Don’t go beyond your speed limits. Also, you don’t have to say yes to every opportunity.
LEARN FROM OTHERS:
Learn from other people’s successes and failures. Learn what made them unique in their field. Be humble and learn from others. This is a sure road to your growth and productivity.
Read books that will transform your life. Read books that will cause an effect.
A man that does not read will be lost in life. (My opinion)
On a final note, all the aforementioned ways to grow and be productive are just a **start** to becoming a better You.
Remember, don’t compare yourself to others. Be open to ideas and live a life of Gratitude.
